“Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif, has lost confidence in the "rogue" Supreme Court amid swirling discussions over ethics controversies and a push among Democrats to make the conservative majority a campaign issue ahead of November's presidential election.” https://www.foxnews.com/media/nancy-pelosi-no-confidence-rogue-supreme-court-most-unfortunate
The “rogue Supreme Court” as she calls it was appointed by various presidents from various political parties and approved by the Senate. The process was in accordance with the Constitution. Therefore, the court is not” rogue.” It is a legally instituted court that followed the rules of law for court appointment of justices. When the decisions of the Court do not agree with her views she belittles the institution in the eyes of the American public. While she is allowed free speech, as is any other citizen, her speech must be evaluated by all citizens considering truth and law. This is because her speech has a great impact on many due to her position in government.
According to Section 2 of the Constitution of the United States it states the President “He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.” https://www.archives.gov/founding-docs/constitution-transcript
Her judgement can certainly be called into question based on her history.
“A challenge by several House Democrats to Donald Trump’s election on Friday collapsed when they failed to persuade a single Democratic senator to join their protest.” https://www.politico.com/story/2017/01/no-trump-electoral-college-challenge-233294
Yet they had serious issues when Donald Trump challenged the election results of 2020.
“House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is facing renewed criticism over a tweet from 2017 claiming that the presidential election the year before was “hijacked.”
’Our election was hijacked,’ said Pelosi’s 2017 tweet, which was not censored by Twitter with a warning label as many of President Trump’s tweets questioning the 2020 election were.” https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/2611657/pelosi-slammed-for-2017-tweet-claiming-2016-election-was-hijacked/
She fought tooth and nail for four years to deprive him of his rightful place as duly elected president and commander in chief. When the democrats could not overturn the election, they tried to remove him from office impeaching him two times. They did little else. Congress is elected to make the United States run efficiently. Congress has a broad scope to responsibilities and yet for four years the Democrats main goal was to remove Donald Trump, not to pass legislation that would benefit the country.
“At the moment, the new commander in chief was sworn in, a campaign to build public support for his impeachment went live at ImpeachDonaldTrumpNow.org, spearheaded by two liberal advocacy groups aiming to lay the groundwork for his eventual ejection from the White House.
The organizers behind the campaign, Free Speech for People and RootsAction, are hinging their case on Trump’s insistence on maintaining ownership of his luxury hotel and golf course business while in office. Ethics experts have warned that his financial holdings could potentially lead to constitutional violations and undermine public faith in his decision-making.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2017/01/20/the-campaign-to-impeach-president-trump-has-begun/
Nancy Pelosi stated ““The wall is, in my view, immoral, expensive, unwise, and when the president says, 'Well, I promised a wall during my campaign.' I do not think he said he was going to pass billions of dollars of cost of the wall on to the taxpayer," she added. Pelosi argued that "the president is expressing a sign of weakness" by wanting a wall to stem the flow of undocumented immigrants from crossing the southern border.” https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/congress/nancy-pelosi-border-wall-immoral-expensive-unwise-n749841
Yet under the Biden administration millions of undocumented people entered and were dispersed throughout the United States. What is immoral about building the wall? It is however illegal to allow undocumented immigrants to have free movement within the states. It has cost the United States billions of dollars to house and feed these immigrants. How does the price of housing and feeding illegals compare with the cost of the wall? Why is it imperative that they cross illegally and not come through legally?
We do not know the character of these immigrants and how many have come in to disrupt and harm Americans.
The hatred displayed by the Democrats during the Trump era, showed total disrespect for our government and the provisions made by our forefathers to have a peaceable government, and transition of power. It showed disrespect for the millions of Americans that voted for Donald Trump.
For four years we had to endure the hatred spewed forth by Democrats, specifically, Chuck Schumer, Jerry Nadler, Adam Schiff, Nancy Pelosi, and Maxine Waters. There were many others. The evil hatred that spewed from their mouths and actions brought bitter division to our country. They could not stand the fact that the election had not gone as they expected. What other than hatred would have caused Nancy Pelosi to tear up Donald Trumps State of The Union speech. It disrupted their personal agendas.
I would like to digress for a minute to talk about hatred. Hatred eats at a person’s soul like cancer eats at the body. It is consuming. It will destroy the soul and spirit of a person like cancer destroys the body. King David in the Psalms talks about himself, but it is pertinent to the actions of the Democrats toward Donald Trump as well. “19 Look at my enemies, for they are many, And they hate me with violent hatred.” Psalm 25:19 New American Standard Bible.
Exodus 20:15(NASB) states: “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.” What does it mean to not bear false witness”
“By prohibiting false testimony, God was safeguarding the integrity of interpersonal relationships and the proper functioning of the legal system. Honesty and truthfulness were not just personal virtues but essential components of a just and righteous society.” https://www.christianity.com/wiki/bible/what-does-it-mean-to-bear-false-witness-in-the-bible.html
“This commandment forbids bribery and forgery and even the least suggestion contrary to truth. It forbids libel, slander, and backbiting, and calls for the truth and nothing but the truth.” https://www.bibleinfo.com/en/topics/ten-commandments-list#false-witness You can certainly see slander and backbiting if not other actions stated above in the actions exhibited by key Democrats.
Our government was designed to have three branches, the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. This was done to prevent corruption of power. It has not failed us in the past and we must make sure it does not fail us in the future.
What we can see is that power hungry legislators are trying to diminish the authority and respect of the presidency and judicial branches when it suits them. They use the media as a public forum to belittle those of opposing views. Our government was not born out of unanimity, but compromise. Our forefathers deferred attention to certain issues for our country to come into existence. It has been over two-hundred years. There has been give and take. But our country has survived. It is not a perfect government but a good one.
I am not sure it will survive another two hundred years with the bitterness and hatred that is currently being expressed.
