I woke up this morning praying for the election in the United States. My prayer was not that the candidate I support win, but that God’s will be done. God has a much bigger plan for His children than I can possibly imagine. Ultimately everything prophesied in Revelation will come to pass.

For that to happen there is a path that must be walked out by all people, believers, and non-believers.

I often like to refer to the Holocaust as a tool God used to have the nation of Israel reestablished and bring his children, the descendants of Abraham home.  “Who has ever heard of such things? Who has ever seen things like this? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children.” Isaiah 66:8 NIV

The answer is YES, this is exactly what happened May 14, 1948.

Many of Abrahams descendants are home. Jerusalem came under the authority of Israel in 1967. These are some signs that point toward the birth pangs leading to the end of the age.

What has that to do with the elections in the United States? Israel and the United States have been very close allies since its rebirth. Eventually that will not be the case “3 It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely [a]injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.”  Zechariah 12:3 New American Standard Bible 1995

God will put in place governments, and people to bring about His ultimate plan. If that means the candidate I didn’t vote for wins, so be it.

A word of encouragement for Israel “16 For assuredly He does not [a]give help to angels, but He gives help to the [b]descendant of Abraham.” Hebrews 2:16 New American Standard Bible 1995
