Hate in the United States is seen in many venues.  In a recent news briefing “President Joe Biden was heard calling a reporter from the Fox channel a "stupid son of a bitch" on a hot microphone following a White House event Monday afternoon.

The President's profane remark came as reporters were shouting questions while exiting the East Room following a White House Competition Council meeting on efforts to lower prices.” https://www.cnn.com/2022/01/24/politics/biden-calls-reporter/index.html

Matthew 12:3 New American Standard Bible 1995 “34 You brood of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak what is good? For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart.”

If hate is exhibited from the top down it will only set an example for others to follow and deepen the divide in the United States.  Former President Trump, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Jerry Nadler, Maxine Waters, to name a few used uncivil discourse during President Trumps administration. Hatred was spewed in the direction of both political parties and various people. Will we ever see civility restored?

Hate eats at a person’s soul, it robs the soul of love and creates bitterness.  Hate robs a person of peace.

God’s blessings include the fruit of the spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV) “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”

Some commentators on news channels, Fox, CNN, NBC to name a few, drive division in the land by belittling people in the news.  There are ways of reporting and commenting without belittling people.

Walter Cronkite was a renowned reporter and anchor who would never have acted like this.

The citizens of the United States can see what is going on without having dissension being sown.

Matthew 5:9 (KJV) “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.”  Peace does not always deal with the end of military conflict.  Peace can deal with contention between people.  An individual can be robbed of peace.

John 14:27 (KJV) “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
