It took less than twenty-two days to rally world-wide support for President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as the country of Ukraine was invaded by Russia. President Zelenskyy has become a household world deeply respected by most people.
It occurred to me how easy it will be for the Antichrist to gain the confidence of the world and trust in him.
I was reading in Luke today. Luke 21:9-12 New American Standard Bible 1995
" '9 When you hear of wars and disturbances, do not be terrified; for these things must take place first, but the end does not follow immediately.'
10 Then He continued by saying to them, 'Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, 11 and there will be great earthquakes, and in various places plagues and famines; and there will be terrors and great [a]signs from heaven.
12 But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and will persecute you, delivering you to the synagogues and prisons, [b]bringing you before kings and governors for My name’s sake.'”
In the last two years we have seen Covid 19 (a plague), earthquakes, famines, numerous wars. The most discussed is the Russia/Ukraine war. Even in western governments we have seen a decline in food supply, and increase is cost of living. Third world countries have been struggling with food insecurity for years and had aid from the United Nations and western countries. Today funds are more limited than ever and being able to sustain this aid is questionable.
People will begin to fear for their lives for lack of food. The Earth’s ability to sustain itself is seeing substantial changes. The Bible says this world will pass away.
Putin is warning of World War III and the use of nuclear arms.
How will all of this be reconciled to people of the world who are not children of God? Children of God have nothing to fear but for non-believers this will cause tremendous stress. They will be looking for a savior, one who will deliver them from the current calamities.
This will be the perfect situation for the Antichrist to appear.
