“President Joe Biden’s family used a gathering at Camp David to urge him to stay in the race and keep fighting despite his dreadful debate performance, and some members criticized how his staff prepared him for the faceoff, according to four people familiar with the discussions.” https://apnews.com/article/biden-debate-democrats-clyburn-warnock-2024-nominee-01bd3586a2f2da9217a04d031ddd7934

President Biden who is eighty-one years old apparently needs to be protected from the backlash of his performance in the first debate of the 2024 election. Family members blame staff members for inadequate preparation. According to news reports his staff prepped him for about a week before the debate. Shouldn’t he be able to analyze and form responses to questions on his own? Shouldn’t he take responsibility for how he performed in the debate? High schoolers know how to analyze and respond to questions. The citizens of the United States have a right to expect the President to be able to use analytical thinking and coherent communication in the performance of his job.

It would seem that the President’s cabinet and the Vice President have been trying to keep his change in mental abilities hidden from the citizens of the United States.

When Solomon said to God “9 Now, Lord God, Your [a]promise to my father David is fulfilled, for You have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth. 10 Now give me wisdom and knowledge, so that I may go out and come in before this people, for who can rule this great people of Yours?” 11 Then God said to Solomon, “Because this was [b]in your heart, and you did not ask for riches, wealth, or honor, or the life of those who hate you, nor did you even ask for long life, but you asked for yourself wisdom and knowledge so that you may rule My people over whom I have made you king, 2 wisdom and knowledge have been granted to you. ” 2 Chronicles 1:9-12 New American Standard Bible

Why should we expect less than wisdom and knowledge from those in authority?
