“Who is the largest donor of financial aid to the Palestinians?

(AFP/Jaafar Ashtiyeh) The United States is by far the largest donor of financial aid to the Palestinians, with this assistance touching nearly every aspect of life in the Palestinian Authority.” https://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=mcafee&type=E210US0G0&p=Palestine+Funding

Though the Palestinians are determined to annihilate Israel we support Palestinians through federal funding. April 7, 2021 BBC reported “US President Joe Biden's administration plans to provide $235m (£171m) of aid to Palestinians, restoring part of the assistance cut by Donald Trump.

Two-thirds will go to the UN's agency for Palestinian refugees, Unrwa, which has suffered a financial crisis since it lost $360m of US funding in 2018.”  https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-56665199

“President Biden will also announce new contributions totaling $316 million to support the Palestinian people. This is on top of the more than half a billion dollars the United States has provided to the Palestinian people since the Biden Administration restored much needed funding to the Palestinians.” J

July 14, 2022 the Whitehouse Fact Sheet reported “President Biden will also announce new contributions totaling $316 million to support the Palestinian people. This is on top of the more than half a billion dollars the United States has provided to the Palestinian people since the Biden Administration restored much needed funding to the Palestinians.https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2022/07/14/fact-sheet-the-united-states-palestinian-relationship/

October 18, 2023, just twelve days after Israel was attacked by Hamas “President Biden announced today that the United States is providing $100 million in humanitarian assistance for the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank. This funding will help support over a million displaced and conflict-affected people with clean water, food, hygiene support, medical care, and other essential needs. The United States provides humanitarian assistance through trusted partners including UN agencies and international NGOs.” https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2023/10/18/u-s-announcement-of-humanitarian-assistance-to-the-palestinian-people/

Biden claims to be Israel’s ally yet through “compassion” he supports Palestinians and its legally elected Hamas regime.

According to the Hindustan Times “Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced on Tuesday that the US will provide $404 million in additional assistance to the Palestinians, urging other nations, including those critical of the US, to contribute to Gaza's humanitarian crisis. This aid, revealed at an emergency conference in Jordan, brings the total US support for Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank, and the region to $674 million since the conflict began in October, according to the State Department.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oA3n8nfvFBY

About a year after the Six Day War, which occurred in June 1967, The Palestinian National Charter was created.  It is composed of thirty-three articles.  Four articles specifically address the continuing need for war:

“Article 8:

The phase in their history, through which the Palestinian people are now living, is that of national (watani) struggle for the liberation of Palestine. Thus the conflicts among the Palestinian national forces are secondary, and should be ended for the sake of the basic conflict that exists between the forces of Zionism and of imperialism on the one hand, and the Palestinian Arab people on the other. On this basis the Palestinian masses, regardless of whether they are residing in the national homeland or in diaspora (mahajir) constitute - both their organizations and the individuals - one national front working for the retrieval of Palestine and its liberation through armed struggle.

Article 9:

Armed struggle is the only way to liberate Palestine. This it is the overall strategy, not merely a tactical phase. The Palestinian Arab people assert their absolute determination and firm resolution to continue their armed struggle and to work for an armed popular revolution for the liberation of their country and their return to it. They also assert their right to normal life in Palestine and to exercise their right to self-determination and sovereignty over it.

Article 10:

Commando action constitutes the nucleus of the Palestinian popular liberation war. This requires its escalation, comprehensiveness, and the mobilization of all the Palestinian popular and educational efforts and their organization and involvement in the armed Palestinian revolution. It also requires the achieving of unity for the national (watani) struggle among the different groupings of the Palestinian people, and between the Palestinian people and the Arab masses, so as to secure the continuation of the revolution, its escalation, and victory.”

“Article 15:

The liberation of Palestine, from an Arab viewpoint, is a national (qawmi) duty and it attempts to repel the Zionist and imperialist aggression against the Arab homeland, and aims at the elimination of Zionism in Palestine. Absolute responsibility for this falls upon the Arab nation - peoples and governments - with the Arab people of Palestine in the vanguard. Accordingly, the Arab nation must mobilize all its military, human, moral, and spiritual capabilities to participate actively with the Palestinian people in the liberation of Palestine. It must, particularly in the phase of the armed Palestinian revolution, offer and furnish the Palestinian people with all possible help, and material and human support, and make available to them the means and opportunities that will enable them to continue to carry out their leading role in the armed revolution, until they liberate their homeland.”

“Article 23:

The demand of security and peace, as well as the demand of right and justice, require all states to consider Zionism an illegitimate movement, to outlaw its existence, and to ban its operations, in order that friendly relations among peoples may be preserved, and the loyalty of citizens to their respective homelands safeguarded.” https://avalon.law.yale.edu/20th_century/plocov.asp#art1

Israel became a nation May 14, 1948.  One day later it was attacked by several different Arab states who firmly believe Israel does not have the right to exist.

Yahweh delivered the sons of Jacob from Egyptian captivity.  Exodus 19:4-6 New International Version NIV states:

4 ‘You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself. 5 Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, 6 you[a] will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites.””

It was God’s intention then as well as now that Israel would be a nation faithful to Him. Many events transpired in history from the initial creation of Israel as a nation through the most recent creation of Israel.  The Jews were dispersed among the nations and brought back as a nation.  All of this fulfills prophecy stated in the Bible.

When God originally created Israel, He set boundaries for His nation, His holy people.

“24 Every place where you set your foot will be yours: Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the Euphrates River to the Mediterranean Sea.” Deuteronomy 11:24 New International Version NIV

God had guidelines for His protection of Israel in that day.

“25 No one will be able to stand against you. The Lord your God, as he promised you, will put the terror and fear of you on the whole land, wherever you go. 26 See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse— 27 the blessing if you obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today; 28 the curse if you disobey the commands of the Lord your God and turn from the way that I command you today by following other gods, which you have not known.”

When God originally created Israel Numbers 24:8-9 New International Version NIV states:

“8 “God brought them out of Egypt; they have the strength of a wild ox. They devour hostile nations and break their bones in pieces; with their arrows they pierce them. 9 Like a lion they crouch and lie down, like a lioness—who dares to rouse them? “May those who bless you be blessed and those who curse you be cursed!”

The creation of Israel in May 1948 was a fulfillment of prophecy.

I refer to the original creation of Israel and its reestablishment to point out that it is God’s will that Israel exist.

“Since the start of Israel's war with Hamas on October 7, 2023, the United States has enacted legislation providing at least $12.5 billion in military aid to Israel, which includes $3.8 billion from a bill in March 2024 (in line with the current MOU) and $8.7 billion from a supplemental appropriations act in April 2024.” https://www.cfr.org/article/us-aid-israel-four-charts

I want to be clear that I totally support all aid given to Israel.  To give Palestinians 316 million dollars on top of the half billion restored by the Biden administration, is counterproductive.  It is supplying money to Israels enemies, who have already declared their intent to annihilate them. Currently this money is not reaching the people it was intended for.  How is it being used? Is it possible this money is being funneled to Hamas which is using it to gain weapons to be used against Israel?

Fundamentally it comes down to is the United States supporting Israel or Hamas? We cannot be faithful to both. Eventually the United States will turn its back on Israel for it is written Zechariah 12:3 New International Version NIV “3 On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves.”
